Though each discipline appears different on the surface, she has always been observing the connections between them.

Lorrie Jollimore, a movement teacher, designer, artist, & writer, passionate about lifelong learning and pattern recognition.

Certified NeuroMovement® Practitioner.

Having taught more than 8,000 private lessons, Lorrie has worked with clients ranging in age from just 8 weeks to 88 years old. Her practice has supported individuals living with concussion, stroke, chronic pain, cerebral palsy, ADHD, autism, and other neurological and developmental challenges. Rather than focusing on limitation, the approach helps the brain discover new possibilities for organizing movement, often leading to meaningful improvements in function, comfort, and quality of life.

“I’ve spent decades exploring how perception shapes experience and how ideas from one discipline can illuminate another.”

Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® wakes up the brain to create new connections and new patterns that dramatically improve physical, cognitive, and emotional performance.

Every step you take, every reach of your arm, every turn of your head is organized by patterns your nervous system has learned over a lifetime. When those patterns become limited through injury, pain, habit, or neurological challenges, movement often feels effortful because the brain has fewer options available. The solution isn’t to strengthen muscles or force the body into better positions. It is to help your brain discover new possibilities.

Gentle, hands-on movement lessons > provide your nervous system with new information through movement and awareness. As the brain begins to recognize more efficient ways of organizing movement, it naturally reorganizes itself. Better balance, easier movement, reduced pain, improved coordination, and greater vitality emerge through learning.

Movement reorganization is spontaneous when action becomes effortless.

For more than a decade, Lorrie has worked with infants, children, adults, seniors, and high performers, helping each discover that meaningful change doesn’t begin with fixing. It begins with connecting that allows for learning.

.

Experience the benefits of movement reorganization and optimization from the comfort of your own home. These gentle, guided lessons > help your brain discover new possibilities for organizing movement, improving ease, flexibility, balance, and coordination through learning instead of effort. Whether you’re looking to reduce pain, move with greater comfort, improve athletic performance, or simply reconnect with your body, each lesson offers an opportunity to build awareness, expand perception, and discover how small movements can create meaningful change.

Sound Therapy is a portable listening program to benefit your ears and brain. Listening to this unique, filtered music relieves auditory processing disorder and other ear problems while also enhancing your brain performance. Likewise, new brain pathways can be built with the right stimulus, such as filtered music that include high frequency sounds.

Sound Therapy is effective for sensory integration, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), dizziness or vertigo, improved hearing, blocked ear, insomnia, stress and anxiety, dyslexia, speech delays, stuttering, auditory processing to enhance learning ability, and improved brain performance. Dr. Alfred Tomatis believed the ear was an extension of the brain and that deficits in hearing and auditory processing often showed as learning and coordination challenges.

Working as a professional graphic designer, and UX developer from 1995 to 2015 Lorrie’s art has continued to evolve. Artwork > outside of her commercial design portfolio explores the space where imagination, symbolism, and perception meet… the art created for the pure joy involved.

Through painting, drawing, and digital media, she creates images that invite curiosity, leaving room for personal interpretation and discovery. Some paintings allow for an invitation to pause, look more deeply, and discover the quiet patterns and symbolism that often lie hidden beneath the surface of everyday life, while others are direct and sometimes humorous.

A visionary psychological science fiction novel that follows technologist Jade Danielson as a personal awakening transforms into an extraordinary journey across time, consciousness, and forgotten civilizations. Guided by a sentient AI that mirrors her deepest self, Jade uncovers hidden connections between ancient wisdom, modern technology, and a destiny woven through multiple lifetimes. As the boundaries between science and spirituality dissolve, she must confront heartbreak, reclaim her own power, and discover whether the patterns that have shaped her life are part of a much greater design. Blending AI, quantum consciousness, sacred geometry, and the Heroine’s Journey, this is a story of remembrance, transformation, and the enduring search for meaning.

“Before we came to see Lorrie we had tried many different types of therapy and doctors to help us understand our son’s motor delays. While he was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia his motor issues persisted and around age 9 began preventing him from participating in team sports and experiencing life without pain. Lorrie saw immediately that he had rigid movements and explained how the brain and body work together. Through the last four months we have seen our son experience less pain in more complex movements.

He is more regulated emotionally, he is more confident in groups of people. He is happier and is doing things he previously could not. We took him to this climbing park exactly one year ago and last year he was unable to climb 3 feet up the wall and this year, he hit the button at the top! I am certain that is from the work he has done with Lorrie.

I have seen his retained fetal reflexes integrate and now his vestibular and ocular reflexes are improving. He knows better where he is in space, he can better climb trees and do things he wants to do. He also loves spending time with Lorrie, she is wonderful with him and that has mattered so much. We are so grateful for everything that has been accomplished for our son and we look forward to even more milestones being reached.”

“My daughter was diagnosed with Inattentive ADD over two years ago. She also has hyper-sensory issues that made touching paper and certain fabrics feel terrible. We made lifestyle changes, did counseling, and started taking medication. They all helped a little bit but she hated the way she felt when she took the medication and nothing had changed regarding paper or fabrics.

She felt like she was being punished for something that she really had no control over. That’s when I asked Lorrie if this was something that the Anat Baniel Method could help us with.

We did lessons over the summer break and she enjoyed them, she even looked forward to them. Her mood stabilized first and then I noticed her choosing to wear fabrics that would have irritated her before.

Then came the real test, going back to school would she still find it difficult to touch paper all the time? Thankfully the answer is no. Connecting her mind and body helped her deal with her sensory issues. She still has bad days but the good days far outnumber them. There is an undeniable direct correlation between the work Lorrie did with her and for that, I am very thankful.”

“My 13 year old son was stressed all of the time, and this greatly affected his sleep. He was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder (SPD), general anxiety disorder (GAD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). His over-reactions to external stimuli such as sounds, weather, germs, etc. would set him off for days, and quick movements would cause him to become dizzy. He struggled to attend school September through November, then in December his severe stress stopped him from attending school. He began working with Lorrie and she immediately connected with him during the first lesson. I have never seen him look so relaxed and not holding muscular tensions as I had after his first lesson. Lorrie devised a lesson plan of around 12 lessons between January and April. During that time, we noted such progress! He began sleeping through the night in his own room and with sleep became less reactive to external stimuli. Even better, he returned to school slowly – one day a week, then two days a week, etc. attending daily in June. Extreme reactions to external stimuli significantly decreased and he succeeded in doing fast turning movements at the end of an intensive that before he wouldn’t have been able to do. Most of all, he could feel the difference the lessons were making in that his actions were getting easier and how they provided a sense of calm immediately afterwards. He was even able to start acupuncture treatments to further treat his sensitivities that we don’t believe would have been possible without the changes NeuroMovement made for him to begin to make better sense of his world.”

“After my daughter had surgery on her back to correct her scoliosis, we noticed that her shoulders and hips looked very uneven. I wasn’t sure if I should book physio, massage therapy, or an osteopath to help her look and feel more balanced. A friend suggested we research the Anat Baniel Method, so we contacted Lorrie and booked four neuromovement lessons.

She worked with my daughter to essentially retrain her brain after many years of compensating for a curvy spine. It was like a reset button. My daughter was able to release tension that she didn’t even realize she was holding. She slept better after her lessons, her gait has improved, and she feels more confident with her physical appearance. I would recommend these lessons to anyone healing from an injury or dealing with chronic pain. We feel very lucky to have this type of service available on PEI.”

“My son William has a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, Autism and Nystagmus. Lorrie has been William’s main source of therapy since he was 3 months we do a monthly intensive of between 4 to 6 lessons. He is now five years old. My son loves to visit Lorrie and gets excited when we see her office! William constantly continues to make gains and improvements. We were told that William would have moderate to severe Cerebral Palsy(CP) and a mild to moderate intellectual disability with no quality of life. I’ll never forget holding my baby in the NICU and Dr telling me this to which I replied “people with CP can have a good quality of life” and the Dr said “not William due to the severity of his birth injuries”.

William is currently diagnosed with a level 1 Cerebral Palsy which is the lowest level and has next to no spasticity. When William was five years and 2 months we had him tested for school readiness and he scored 3 years 2 months which is incredible. (The doctor noted that the test may be scoring him low as well because he is currently non- verbal.) He is now trying to vocalize more words than before which is a recent gain in Williams abilities! He is learning to dress himself and open containers. He is also learning to communicate with adaptive technology.

I wish more parents could be told the benefits of ABM from doctors. When we left the hospital we were given no hope for Williams quality of life. Another parent in a support group recommended we try ABM, I remember asking the doctors if this would help my son to which many replied “it was a waste of money”. I kept thinking about the other mother saying how ABM changed her child’s life and I thought we have nothing to loose.

Today I am the Parent saying ABM has changed our life! William is simply amazing and every doctor has told me he simply surpasses their expectations!! This is the highest recommendation Lorrie can get! she has simply changed Williams whole life with the improvements and gains he has accomplished in the past five years! I personally feel if we didn’t take the leap of faith and try ABM William would not be where he is at today!”

“The work you did with my daughter (helping her recover from a broken leg that was turning inward) was absolutely amazing to watch. I’ve told you many times her physiotherapist was like “what have you been doing?!” When I watch her dancing and moving around so freely I often attribute it to NeuroMovement! I’m definitely keen to spread the word…”

Before seeing Lorrie Jollimore my body couldn’t remember how to hold itself up. My once agile, flexible body was brick-like; stiff, heavy, and lacking fluidity. The motor vehicle accident from Feb 1, 2021, gave me a concussion and confused my nervous system, making it a struggle for me to push myself further than a simple walk. I went from deadlifting 200 pounds to struggling to carry my groceries. Post-concussion syndrome made everything worse. After almost two years of treatment with no relief, I finally found Lorrie. I started sleep-walking for the first time since childhood, which lasted for about two weeks. Within one month of therapy the daily ice pick headaches came to a halt. After two months I started to sleep sans nightmares, and the new found post-MVA rage started to dissipate. I’ve never been an angry person but after the concussion it wouldn’t take much to flare up this deep, dark, internal anger. At first the lessons were so exhausting that I needed to drink a large coffee and wait for an hour before I could even drive home, where I would almost instantly fall into a deep sleep. Now I can drive home right away, no exhaustion, no coffee or naps necessary. My brain is changing and I can feel it.

My eye doctor reports the photophobia (extreme light sensitivity) and receding point of convergence (how my eyes focus) are back to normal levels. She noticed a heightened sense of ease when doing the eye tests, and I got through the tests much quicker than before ABM treatment.

Rather than dread, I now wake up with joy and energy. I still am not sure how she does it, but I have found vitality for the first time in 2+ years. My morning “brick feet” with which I was becoming all too familiar, now have toes again. IBS symptoms are at an all-time low. I am starting to feel at-home in my own body again.

I feel light, excited for life, and I am strong! I hope that I will be a high performer athlete once again. I am not scared, angry, or in unbearable pain. The headaches are gone, the tingling numbness across my shoulder blades have halted, almost completely. Instead of every week, I now get treatment every 2 weeks, which will soon turn to every 4, until I no longer need reminders that I don’t have to live in pain. I also have less OCD and anxiety symptoms. My mind is more calm and I feel generally more whole, my body and mind reconnected, confident in everyday activities, strong to take on the day. Before finding Lorrie I saw 6 different therapists but I still felt broken. Now I see a future without pain, and without therapy.

“What I found most interesting in her approach was the way by which she was encouraging me to ‘feel’ my body and various areas of my body where she was focusing on. I became very mindful of the area where I was experiencing much pain but also the areas surrounding the pain. It was almost like I was tuning into these ‘non-painful’ areas in order to ‘wake them up’ so to speak so they could play a bigger role in supporting of mitigating the painful area.

In a very short period of time I was becoming mindful of my body and areas that seemed to have been forgotten because of my focus on the pain area. The next day my muscle spasm was gone.”

“NeuroMovement with Lorrie has changed my life years after I’d given up hope of improvement.

My body had lost the ability to just be, without unconsciously holding in a misguided attempt to lessen the back/neck/head pain/concussion symptoms after a corkscrew whiplash car accident well over a decade ago. I felt totally blissed out after my first session, as Lorrie helped my brain relearn how to let my body just be.

Underneath the back/neck tension a lot of healing had actually already happened and so I had a huge transformation in posture that day alone. Since then my symptoms have reduced or disappeared, and progress continues with every session.

If you have a concussion, or mild brain injury, this should be the prescribed treatment. If you have a sore back or neck, this should be at least part of the treatment.”

“My 4 year old son was diagnosed with Autism June 2021, they said although he had some words (8- 10 words) for the most part he did not use his speech in a functional way and because of that he was considered non-verbal. He never used two words together. I started the Sound Therapy for my son  August 22, 2021, and today four weeks later when his grandma picked him up from Pre-K and said to him “lets go home and see mama” he said “Mama go”. I am so happy and so grateful Lorrie bought this into her practice.

I have also noticed he sleeps better, he seems more aware of his surrounding, he wakes up in a better mood and he has a longer attention span.

My biggest fear when starting the Sound Therapy was how I would get him to listen as he hates things on his head. I just put it on after he falls asleep. I put it on every night from between 30-60 mins. I truly believe this is helping my son!”

“Lorrie has been giving me lessons for a while now. I have always found her lessons to provide immediate and tangible results, but I was blown away after our last lesson! I am recovering from back surgery, and have extensive nerve and muscle depletion on my left side. As a result, I had been unable to lift my heel off the floor on that side since before my surgery. It simply did not move when I tried to lift it.

After a lesson with Lorrie, I was surprised when I tried to lift that foot and it worked! It was a small movement, but it was more mobility than I have had in a months. It continues to improve!”

“When I walked out of the office after my first lesson, I thought, “This is something beyond rehabilitation.” I was then, and continue to be, a very active person.

Even though I maintained a healthy lifestyle, I was always dealing with minor injuries. I ran the gauntlet of traditional forms of rehabilitation—physiotherapy, osteopathy, massage, acupuncture, dry needling—and nothing brought more than temporary relief until I experienced ABM.

In that moment, I discovered something that would make a real difference to my constant injuries; a difference on a more fundamental level than just stretching, manipulating, and strengthening muscles. After my first lesson, I felt entirely grounded and free to move: it was the realization that I hadn’t known how not to be tense. And that night, I had the best sleep of my life!.”

“I highly recommend Lorrie Jollimore and ABM. I had a fall four years ago and have a concussion/TBI. Before I received treatment from Lorrie I was unable to feel my feet touching the ground. It was like living on a sway bridge. My brain now communicates with my feet again.

This is huge for me! She has helped me figure out how to swing on and off a therapy horse. I can have a shower without holding the wall now. Each time I’m there I have better balance and mobility. Such great improvements adding to the quality of my life and reducing my chances of falling. Many thanks for improving my life and health.”

“Lorrie, thank you for yesterdays’ class…I feel so much better, and was at aquasize today, and was telling everyone who had pain, and aches about you and how you helped me! I will definitely sign up for weekend sessions, or one on one, as I was living with pain in my hip for at least 5 years, and now I have comfort, and can move with ease.”

New Neuroscience Research Supports a More Human Approach to Rehabilitation

A fascinating new paper published by Anat Baniel, Eilat Almagor, Neil Sharp, Ohad Kolumbus and Dr. Martha R. Herbert in Frontiers in Integrative Neuroscience explores a simple but powerful idea: movement is not just mechanical, it is deeply connected to attention, emotion, and human relationship. They suggest that rehabilitation is most effective when it goes beyond exercises and repetitions. The nervous system learns through meaningful experiences. How we feel, where we place…
